The "Cram it" Group Show

I'll be showing these paintings in a group art show at the ellO Gallery in Portsmouth, New Hampshire:

The show is in August.  All of the artwork at the gallery will be $20 or less.  And there should be a ton of artwork to grab.  Check it out if you're in the neighborhood.  And as always you can contact me for commissions and such.

Mary Blair + Alice in Wonderland

Disney is releasing a new Alice in Wonderland book.  This one has pictures by Mary Blair!  Mary Blair's work is second to none.  She is the reason why I put paint to paper.  I urge everyone to go out and buy this book, and see for yourself how amazing Mary was.

It'll be released in February of next year.  I can't wait.

Too Much?

I just got to see WALL*E this last weekend, and I've found out that there are SIX more animated films to be released during the second half of this year.  Unfortunately not all of these seem that they will be any good.  Trailers are available at each movie's website.  Here are the movie posters; decide for yourself what looks enticing:

I'm particularly looking forward to Igor and Bolt.  Space Chimps and Fly Me to the Moon both seem like crap Saturday morning cartoons with high production value.  Both Star Wars and Madagascar look like expensive, 90 minute commercials.  (Star Wars in particular has the look and feel of video game cut scenes.)

I guess it's good for the industry that so many companies are producing animated movies, though.
